economic-truth was set up initially as a repositary for essays and notes I typed up when I was studying economics. And, as far as I was concerned, that's all it was.
However, I found myself being given a few other essays to put on the site, and I saw no harm in doing so. I registered a domain name, and put up a pretty basic site. After a little while I realised that most of my essays and notes were not really in a fit state for consumption, and so I took them down. Two days later, I received an email asking what had happened to them.
Since then, I've been reformatting my pieces (and those supplied by others) so they're more useful. As those who have visited more than once can testify, this is not a quick job! Content is therefore being added slowly.
After I'd been running this site for a little while, one of my friends told me that he really liked the idea, and so planned to put his lecture notes, from his computer science courses, on a similar page. This is yet to materialise, but I have every confidence it will.
